ATL.DLL not a valid Windows image.

C

Clang

Several times now I have received the following message: "The application or
DLL C:\Windows\system32\ATL.DLL is not a valid Windows image. Please check
this against your installation diskette." Before I make an error in
judgement, I'd like to know if the "check this againist...." instruction
means I just need to replace the newer version of the dll on my c: drive with
the one that is on the CD? I have interpreted vague instruction before that
only resulted in more serious errors. I don't want to try something that may
mess up Windows even more without knowing.

Thanks for your help.
