On starting WindowsXP Home I find the following message.
NTVDM Kernel Missing 16-bit System module.
Please reinstall the following module to your system 32 directory:
wifeman.dll
OK

How do I find this DLL and how to reinstall it to my system 32 directory?

Thanks.

As it is the Welcome screen stays put until I press ctrl/alt/del before I
get the desktop screen.

The dll appears to be a part of the os therefore the same
is on your Windows XP CD but as you can't access windows
you will have to expand the file from the CD using the
Recovery Console.

HOW TO: Install and Use the Recovery Console in Windows XP
or get the dll file from here
http://www.windll.com/library-w_300.php
You will then need to copy the file to the correct
folder, most likely through the Recovery Console

Hope this helps
