DLL files work work

DLL files do not work and have not got an application to
open them. (Using Win 2000 Pro). Recently installed bt
broadband and since then they haven't worked. Does anyone
know how to re-install them or where to find an answer to
this problem?

Broadly speaking dll files are routines that are part of an individual
application they do not function/run on their own.
So what app is not working and what err msg is given?
