Distribution list and contacts

I have over 600 fax numbers on a rightfax notification list that we want to
convert to an email notification system. As we get the email addresses,
should I put them into separate distribution lists (about nine different
categories), or add them to my contacts. Will I be able to pick the ones I
want later on and just send to them. I hate to have over 600 contacts that I
will hardly use mixed in with my regular contacts. I am using XP/Outlook
2003. Thank you.

If you want to be able to pick individual contacts later, then you need to save them as individual contacts. Keep them in a separate folder.
