Can anyone tell me what the checkbox at the bottom of the Distribution List
window is for?

It marks it as not visible to anyone who may be sharing your calendar or
scheduling you for a meeting. It shows as "Private" rather than the actual
event/appointment.

It marks it as not visible to anyone who may be sharing your calendar
or scheduling you for a meeting. It shows as "Private" rather than
the actual event/appointment.

Doesn't it mark the DL as private so that anyone sharing your mailbox can't
see that particular DL in the Contacts list?
