Distortion/Scratching noise when playing Burnt CDs in Car

Hi,
I am experiencing Distortion/Scratching noises when
playing Burnt CDs in Car.

I have noticed this problem since I have updated my
Windows Media Player to series 9

I have a Phillips CD player in my car which is about 12
years old.

Never had this problem with original version of Media
Player that cme with XP operating system.

Apreciate any reply. Thanks
