Distorted jpeg images after Firefox install

Yesterday, I signed onto my PC and found all of my jpeg images on websites
are distorted. I also found an install of Firefox on my desktop. This was
part of some toolbar, probably from Google.

When I looked up the problem on Google, the message came up to use Firefox
instead of Explorer. Firefox does display the jpegs, but why wont Explorer.
I ended up completely reformattting my hard drive and still have the problem
with Explorer.

That did not help. My problem is that I use Frontpage as an editor and can't
get it to display jpgs anymore. I added Firefox as a browser in Frontpage.

Have you tried deleting the Internet Temporay Files? (including "Delete all offline contents")

A Firefox install has nothing to do with JPEG display. It doesn't even
touch any display driver files. Try reinstalling FrontPage, or maybe
your image links are corrupted or erroneous. FrontPage will not display
the images if the links to them are wrong.

All of the images display in Firefox or Navigator. jpgs are distorted in IE.
I reinstalled Frontpage and also updated IE.

When I rebuilt my machine from the restore DVD, jpg images were distorted
during the restore processes. It is one of those things that really perplex
me.
