displays old pages at some sites

when I go to some web sites i get old pages but when I go to internet options and "delete files" then the new pages are displayed. Can IE 6.0 be repaired or deleted and reloaded. or is there another way to fix this problem

So did you change when IE checks for new content?

Internet Options -> General
Temporary Internet Files -> Settings

Microsoft has been clear as mud as to how their automatic setting works.
You might want to try "Every time you start IE" or "Every visit to the
page". If you have a cable/DSL always on connection then use "Every visit".
