during computer time, suddenly my whole screen dims down..and nothing can be done to revive the normal lighting.what's wrong?i tried to increase the brightness but nothing happened.would appreciated it if someone messaged me a solution asap.i'm using XP.

Check that the monitor cable is firmly seated at both ends.
Try another monitor.
