display will not open, help!!!

when i right click any of my display options under the control panel, nothing
happens. i cant change my resolution, screen saver, background or theme,
nothing happens when i click it. what do i do??? valerie

Hi Valerie,

Have you tried a reboot to see if that fixes the problem, before you do
anything else?

Also have you tried a simply left-click to open up Display in the
Control Panel, itself?

yes, i have tried everything. it seems like the path is missing for that
entire folder (appearance and themes). every other folder in the control
panel works correctly when clicked on except the one with display. i do not
know any other way to access the display to change themes, backgrounds, or
resolution.

i downloaded line 203 as you said, saved it and rebooted...unfortunately
nothing happened again when i clicked on display or resolution.

Hi

You may have to try a System Restore back to a point before the problem
started.

i had to do the system restore and that did allow my display to work
properly. thanks for the help
