Display size on monitor

I have a CD-ROM I want to play but it won't allow me to
due to the scrren must be 640x480 and mine only goes down
to 800x600. I have tried reducing to 16-bit colour but
nothing works. I have recently changed all of my PC
equipment except for my display. Can anyone help me out ?

Right-click on your desktop and select:

Properties > Settings > Advanced > Adapter > List All Modes
