Display Properties

Can someone tell me if this is correct.
When I save pictures to my pictures folder they are then automactically
shown in display properties /background.
I dont think this is right if so any suggestions to solutions.
 
Yes, this is correct.
This is the default on XP.
The only way around is to make new folders for your pictures outside of My
Pictures folder.
