Hello!

I just got a totally new system built for me. Still using my old XP home
disk,
with XP2 installed.

I am having a noticable problem with this new setup.
Every time I reboot, the new theme that I added in "Display Properties"
reverts back to the standard "XP Stlye" (which I hate btw). Then I have to
click on my saved theme file, it reloads till the next time I reboot. Is
there any way to 'lock' this theme in?

Thanks.

Hi Patti,
=Try this, Opena run command and type:
services.msc click [OK] there scroll down to Theme and double click it on
the Start up click Auto.
= Right Click on the Desktop and select properties, on the Dispaly
properties click Appearnce Tab and change to what style you want.
You can go to the kelly korner for more help:

I finally found what was causing the problem. It was not what you had
suggested, Nass, but thanks anyway!
The problem was in the performance tab -visual effects. The "use visual
styes on windows and buttons" was checked, so every time I shut down, it
loaded up :)
1 more challange defeated!
