Display Properties cannot preview desktop backgrounds

I have a user that cannot preview her desktop backgrounds in "Display
Properties", "Desktop" tab.

The files are actually located in the correct folders in the C: drive. She
can click on a background and set it as the Windows Background, but she
simply cannot preview it from the "Desktop" tab.

Can anyone help?
 
Hi PM,

Type these commands in Start, Run:

regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll

Close and re-open the dialog. If the Preview pane turns "White" (rather than
previewing the picture), it's caused by missing Active Desktop registration.
Run this command if that's the case:

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
