Cannot change desktop background

I recenetly had a virus on my computer. I cleared the out the virus
including the file that was being used as my desktop. However, now I get a
white screen as my desktop background.

When I go to properties, it shows a file no loinger on my computer. When I
go to the dispay section of the control panel, it shows the correct
background I wish to use, but I cannot actually get it on my desktop.

How do I get rid of a blank background when the file no longer exists?

When you are in Display Properties>Desktop>Background Window. Can you
make another selection from the list?

IN the future dont download and then install any virus.

1. Open Control Panel, double-click Display.
2. Click the Desktop tab, and choose "Customize Desktop".
3. Select the "Web" tab
4. Delete all the items except "My current Home page"
5. Uncheck "My current Home page"
6. Click OK, and now select your Desktop background
7. Click OK and close the dialog.

Follow-up with a thorough malware scan. Visit:
