My computer appears to have developed a strange fault. Whenever a new
window opens up, it shoots of the left-hand side of the screen. Nost
windows I can normally bring back by using ALT+SPACEBAR+M, however
there are quite a few windows that do not respond to this. The problem
initially started after I installed a driver for my monitor (A Dell
P1130). I have tried un-installing the monitor, then re-installing it,
re-installing the graphics driver and have had no luck at all.

Help Please!!

It sounds like your display is acting as though it has two monitors setup. I
would double check and make sure it is set for a single monitor display and
that the resolution is correct for your monitor. Depending on the make and
model and drivers you have installed for your video card, the location to
check will be slightly different, but you should be able to get close by
going:
Control Panel>Display>Settings tab(check resolution here, and also you may
be able to specify single/dual displays here)
you can then try clicking the Advanced button and you may find somewhere to
set up dual/single displays here too
