Display only DL name in the "TO" box

In Outlook 2000, a person could send an email to a DL and show only the DL
name instead of the individual names. (Article KB266339)

I now use Outlook 2002 and wish to have only my DL names show instead of
individual names. I have 5 DLs with approximately 250 people to which I
regularly send email.

I have placed my DLs in the BCC field. The problem with this is I'm then
sent a flurry of emails asking if I shared the email with all the others.

I would like the recipients to see that I've emailed information to my DLs
by having that DL name show in the "TO" box.

Russ, in my first paragraph I mentioned KB266339 (aka Q266339). Didn't help.

No version of Outlook has ever done this.
If you want to try to place the name of your Distribution List in the To:
field, this MS KB article may help:

I tried this at home with Office 2003, which I had purchased and installed
about 9 months ago. I had performed a custom installation, installing all
the "bells and whistles" I could find, and installing in the default
location. Critical updates are up-to-date.

In Outlook 2003, I selected Word as my e-mail editor and selected the HTML
format. When I turned on the Web toolbar and attempt to insert a sound, this
is the error message that popped up:

Microsoft Office Word
This object was created in HTMLInlineSoundCtl.
This application is not available to open this object.
Make sure the application is properly installed and that
it has not been deleted, moved, or renamed.

Now it's your turn.
