Display mode

Last night while working on my home computer, i got the
bright idea to change the display mode to a higher amount.
Now my screen is garbled and the mouse pointer and icons
are not visible. I can't even get the computer to shut
off. I unplugged it and started it back up and the screen
remains the same. Somebody please help me.

Hold down the F8 key when turning on your computer until
you get an option to go into safe mode. Going into safe
mode lodes limited drivers so that you will be able to
see. I'm hoping that if you go into the display
properties and fix your resolution that it will retain the
information when you reboot. Hope this helps.
