Display icons too large

confused with XP

I have a computer that suddenly has all of the desktop icons and taskbar
being displayed very large. When ever I try to change anything, none of the
windows will display small enough to move around to get to screen
resolutions. Please help

Right click the desktop.
Click Properties in the popup menu.
If you can't see the Display Properties tabs, press the Tab key 5 times to have the
Themes tab selected.
Press the Right Arrow key 4 times to get to the Settings tab.

If you can see the tabs click once on the Settings tab.
Press the Tab key to have Screen Resolution selected.
Press the Right Arrow key once for each gradient you want the Screen Resolution
slider to move.
Press the Tab key to have the Color Quality selected.
Press the Down Arrow key to move to a higher color quality.
Press the Tab key five times to have Apply selected.
Press Enter on the keyboard.
