display html documents

On an earlier version of window XP, I was able to see my saved .html docs in
thumbnail view in folders. My new version on another computer does not allow
this.

I previously got an answer to this question 3-19-05 and it worked but I
can't get back to the post your e-mail sent me to.

It had to do something with a reg. change on notepad on the desktop, but I
don't have that information anymore. Ramesh, MS-MVP sent the reply and I said
it didn't work. I found out and didn't follow his directions correctly and
got it to work, but I couldn't find my previous post that did in fact display
my .html docs in thumbnail view.

Please give me the directions again.

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.htm\shellex\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.html\shellex\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}

In the right pane, set the Default value to :
{EAB841A0-9550-11cf-8C16-00805F1408F3}

If the Shellex or {BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1} subkeys don't
exist, you may need to add them manually.

Here's the response Ramesh provided to your earlier question:

Here's the registry fix he provided:

Here's the download:

It's amazing what you can find here:
