Display DPI and UI Usability

I've just installed the MS Beta Antispyware software and
noticed that not all elements of the user interface are
visible / accessible, even if the app window is
maximized. I believe this is due to my custom DPI
settings, currently at 95% normal size (91 dpi). (For
those who don't know about this setting, Display
Properties - Settings tab -> Advanced -> General tab -
DPI Setting). Does anyone else have a similar experience
(is it reproducible)? Would this be addressed for the
final release?

I´m using 144dpi. With out problems.

Try

1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd)
2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll"
(without the quotes).
3) Close and re-open Windows AntiSpyware

Thanks for that! I was having a similar problem with the
system agents not working properly. Said they were
active on one screen and not on another and couldn't make
them active. I tried this fix and it worked!!

Even with registering the DLL I still see this issue. For
example, looking at the "Scan Options" screen, the text
in the "Scan Details" box at right is cutoff (reads "The
estimated scan time is base", next line "past scans run
on your system"). Maximizing the window only makes this
issue worse.

Perhaps this isn't related to my changing the DPI
settings, though I've seen similar UI issues in other
apps after modifying this setting.

Any other suggestions?

I don't have any unusual settings--I believe DPI is at the default, and some
dialog boxes in beta1 are broken--the one informing the user of available
new definitions, for example.

If you can change settings to make this work, and that's preferable for
you--go right ahead. If you can't, I'd chalk this up to the nature of the
beta product, and wait for beta2. I don't think such items are likely to be
fixed before then.
