I rencetly uninstalled Adobe photoshop and now my windows display and my display in full screen mode are extremely dark and adjusting them through the monitor settings doesn't seem to help that much

Would simply reinstalling Windows XP solve this problem

Any assitance would be greatly appreciated

The best solution is provided by your Display driver. Most offer
a Gamma correction feature. In Display properties, Advanced
there should be vendor specific options (nVidia, ATI, Matrox).
If your OSD for the monitor doesn't bring the brightness to the
correct value, Look for gamma in the Display properties.

Hi,
update your display driver.Adust the Your Monitor's gamma settings to
correct this issue.
