Display adapter, monitor help

V

Vicki

I just did a fresh install of xp home edition. It has onboard video. I can't
change the display and it's set at 16 million colors 640x480. In device
manager there is no monitor listed and I am unable to choose any monitors. I
installed a diamond stealth 3D 2000 video card but that won't work either.
In device manager it has a yellow! next to S3 ViRGE. Under other devices
there is a ?! next to video controller and it then says (VGA compatible) I
tried to find drivers for the diamond stealth but have not had any luck. The
one I found did not work and the company got taken over by another and I'm
just not able to find anything that works. Does anyone have any clues or
suggestions? TIA!

Buy a new up-to-date graphics card. You need at least an Nvidea, SiS,
ATI or s4 Savage or later type card. XP will not work with cards from
the last ice age.
