Display Adapter (HELP)

Hi Urgent help required please. Ok where do i start..... Well I currently
have a Radeon 9200se graphics card installed in my PC. Now for some reason,
my display is not working properly. When i use the internet and scroll
through webpages, the window keeps flickering and always is refreshing which
is very irritating. I have been on the ATI website for updates to my Radeon
card but still this has not changed anything. I have completely uninstalled
the card drivers and then reinstalled them, but still the window keeps
flickering and when going throught websites the pages keep refreshing. Well i
eventually thought that my Graphics card probably is faulty, i therfore
purchased a new card. Installed it with the drivers, but guess what?? The
problem is still there. i have followed the troubleshoot guide but still
theres no solution to this. I have taken my pc to a PC shop who couldnt
manage to find the problem. Well anyway, i took out the new card and then put
my old card back in...when this was installed...Windows automatically
installed the drivers from online..and then when i go to the Display
properties, setting advanced, display adapters it never shows my Graphics
card details....There was a time where it did show them details and
everything was ok. But when i restart my PC it still is the same...the pages
flicker and keep refreshing on every movement. I REALLY hope some can PLEASE
help me out here. Or give me some pointers. Much appreciated. Thanks. SK

Locate, download, install and update Driver Cleaner Pro. Do not run it yet.

Completely remove the drivers for the Raedon. Do not reboot when XP request
you to.

Run Driver Cleaner Pro and select the ATi Raedon driver cleaner. This should
remove the "last" traces of the "defective" drivers.

Reboot.

By-pass the "New Hardware" Wizard.

Install the latest available Raedon drivers

Reboot.

Locate, download and install the latest motherboard chipset drivers (to get
the AGP slot drivers)

Locate, download and install any drivers for your monitor.



If the flickering still occurs,

1) Try a different monitor.

2) Try to re-install DirectX 9.0c

3) Check to see if your PC might be "over clocked." If your PC has been "over
clocked", please return it to the original settings required by your CPU.
Then, try to over clock it again.


Over Clocking -- Set the BIOS controls for Voltage, RAM and CPU speeds to
higher settings than what the manufacturer is recommending.
