Dismissed calendar reminders keep coming back

Hi

We have recently upgraded to Outlook 2007 and now many dismissed calendar
reminders keep coming back.

Is this a known bug?

Setup is Windows XP, Outlook 2007, Exchange 2000.

Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders switch. If you need help
using Outlook command line switches, look here:

I attempted to start Outlook with the switch from the command line and
from a shortcut. Both result in reminders coming back. Do you have
any other suggestions?

You didn't say if you have recently upgraded to a newer version of
Outlook...but if so, and you are using an old profile, try creating a new
one. http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm

Thanks for the replies.

Rebuilding the profile does not solve our problem. We think it might be
something to do with switching to Cached Account Mode. Is that possible?

I don't know...Exchange isn't my strong suit. You may need to repost your
question and make sure all the info from this thread is included...hopefully
someone with more Exchange knowledge can help.

We were having a similar problem where the reminders were related to
contact follow-ups, and it only happened in Cached mode. We came up
with the ultimate shady workaround, but it seems to actually work...I
think you're problem's different but maybe something along the same
lines will work for you. We set a follow up flag for the contacts
that are causing the problem and set the due date to way, way, way off
in the future, then clear the flag. It doesn't appear to have any
other impact on Outlook and it cleared our followup reminders that
kept appearing for the contacts.
