Diskpart

I have a 3 disk hardware RAID 5 array that is a 2 partition basic disk in
Windows2000. I would like to add a couple of disks to the array and then
extend the size of the partition. It looks like Diskpart is the way to go,
but I keep seeing little mentions of problems with Diskpart. Note that this
partition has the Exchange 2000 database on it, so I am being careful before
jumping into something like this. Any advice, suggestions, etc.?

You need to add the new drive(s) to your current array, so that they ends
up as an enlargement of your current disk, as Win2000 sees it. You need to
check out how this is done with your disk adapter manufacturer.

Next, Diskpart might help, if it is your second partition you want to
enlarge. Check out this MS Knowledge Base article:

Ensure that SP4 is installed before you do this:

And, of course, back up and ensure you know the procedure to restore your
system.
