Disk wipe utility

I am looking for a disk wipe utility that will overwrite all unused space as
well slack space with zeroes. Nothing secure, I just need to make my drive
image more compressable. What program would you recommend?

Although intended as a secure utility, eraser [1] should do what you need.

It has the ability to run itself daily, etc, and will also allow one to
securely erase files, etc.

nullfile-1.01.exe writes zeroes to the free space on the system
partition. I doubt it processes the slacks. It is over six and a half
KILObytes. Talk about bloat.
