Disk Throughput

Hi Group...I will install a new machine and it is necessary operate with
fast access disk. Exists some table or link to obtain a comparison table
for the different technologies. (IDE,SATA,SCSI,SAS,...)?. I tested different
kind of disks with free programs for those purposes and the results are
about 20MB/sec or 30MB/sec (SAS disks in IBM XSeries 3400 with HP and IBM
tools). Maybe this values is correct or not?. I don't know...
I will apretiate any help

There are maximum and minimum values here. Maximum is at the beginning of the
disk, while minimum is at the end of the disk. If you are transferring many
small files, you will not get these numbers. The performance level here, would
be for a sustained transfer, of a single very large file.
