disk.sys error

I sporadically receive the following error message with
the 'blue screen of death':

"Stop: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0xed29946f, 0x00000001,
0x00000000) physical memory dump address ed29946f base @
ed298000 datestamp 3e25b9c9 - disk.sys".

And of course all data is wiped out once system is
restarted.


I've searched the ms knowledge base, but no match to that
error code.


Any help would be appreciated

Google search for me came up with this first shot. But a little more info
might be appropriate. You're using W2K I presume (not XP). What is your SP?
Did you recently upgrade the SP?
