Stop due to KMODE Exception in disk.sys

Jim Salem

I've been getting BSODs about once per day due to the following STOP
exception in disk.sys ==>

STOP 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0xeb69946f, 0x0000001, 0x00000000)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED Address eb69946f, base at eb690000,
datestamp 3e25b9c9 - disk.sys"

It tends to occur only when the machine has been idle for awhile.

Any ideas? Could this indicate a hardware problem?
