I'm trying to update my BIOS. I've created a boot disk
with XP pro disk format option, but when I try to boot up
from the disk it says "Disk I/O Error" and i'm to insert
another disk and hit any key. Ok... now why can't XP
make a disk to boot up???

Any help?

See if this disk I made for bios flashing works:
http://download.sudhian.com/faq/kt7/downloads/Misc/drdflash.exe
http://ftp.sanguine.jp/pub/sahughes/utils/dos/drdflash.exe

Download, put a new floppy disk in, hit the exe to make the disk. I hope
your A: drive is not dirty as it may be if you havn't used it in a long
while. A dirty drive can ruin floppy disks, and also, after you clean
the drive and put in a disk that was "dirtied" it can then transfer the
grime back your drive head.
