Purchase a new hard disk drive and get it in there as soon as possible.

As long as your machine is booting, burn or move elsewhere (off that
machine) all files (word documents, pictures, excel spreadsheets, music,
whatever...) that are important to you. Take note of your system
information (www.belarc.com, download and install their free application,
PRINT the results!) Make sure you have your original installation media
around.

If the machine is under warranty and you have done all of the above, get it
fixed. If the machine is not under warranty, get the new hard drive and
replace the defective one.
