I am tearing my hair out trying to get this EWF to work in our application.
We are using xp embedded for a DVR application. We have a primary drive wh
ich will be flash, and then a secondary drive which will be traditional rota
ting media for video storage.
I have a disk ewf setup with a 524 size, 3 overlays, and a single protected
volume at disk 0 partition 1.
I first run the image on the rotating media w/o the flash connected. I run
this on the primary ide channel. The drive has the first partition formated
and then 22g or so free for whatever ewf wants to do with it.
After FBA ewfmgr status looks good as par microsoft documentation. The stat
us is disabled. Microsoft documentation says to then do a ptprep /delete an
d then the image is ready to be copied over to a flash device.
When I do this, there then appears to no longer be any instances of ewf when
I run ewfmgr, whether I run it on the original rotating media drive or copy
everything over to a new flash drive and run it off of there. Can anyone p
lease help me? I assume I am missing a crucial step in the process, but I c
annot seem to find what I am doing wrong!
Thank you
