Disk Error

Description:
The device, \Device\Harddisk1\D, is not ready for access yet.

Can anyone tell me what is going wrong? I do have installed all the physical drives with no problems. But when i looked up the "Event Viewer" under winxp, i got the error above.. how do i solve this problem?

Open My Computer and check that the second physical drive is present.
If not:
Did you partition and format the second drive after you installed it?
Check Device Manager for indications of problems with the drive. Right
click on My Computer, select Properties and than the Hardware tab. Click on
the Device Manager button.
Check your BIOS setup to determine if the drive is being recognized. If
not, did you set the drive jumpers to Slave or Auto-detect?

If the drive is present, right click on the drive an try to open it.
