Disk Defragmenter causes bsod

[kctracker]

Looking for any info relating to disk defragmenter and scan
disk causing bsod. Memory dump states 0x0000000a
[0x7fffffff,0x00000002,0x00000001,0x804e414e]. Dumpchk
cannot verify file as it never completes the memory dump.
Have reformated hard drive and reinstalled software and get
the same error. scan disk will function when xp loads. Get
same results in safe mode. Any help appreciated.

blue screens can only be caused by a hardware issue or a driver that isn't
"playing well with others".

I would suggest booting into Safe Mode and trying to run the defrag from
there and see what happens. If it works okay, then you'll know that it is a
driver issue.
