Disk Cleanup

Sorry for reposting. but after nearly 19 hours I still have not seen my original posting in this newsgroup.

I upgrade to Win XP Home over Win98SE.

When I do a MS Disk Cleanup (thru system tools) it shows "Backup Files for
Previous Operating System" of 219,957k PLUS Windows 98/ME Installations
files of 4187KB. I have not checked the boxes thus not deleting these files.

Can I safely delete these files?

TIA

These files are there in case you decide to uninstall XP and return to
the previous operating system.

If you are content with Windows XP and do not plan to revert to the
other operating system you can delete them.

Hope this helps
