Disk Cleanup now takes over 10 minutes

only 6 GB of drive used

Disk Cleanup is now taking over 10 minutes to complete, spending most of
the time on "Cleaning: Compress old files." I use Cleanup and Defrag
every week. Normally it takes only 1 to 2 minutes. I haven't installed
any new programs or used machine any differently. Excel and Mozilla are
most frequently used programs.

I don't have "compress drive or indexing" checked.

It has just been the last 2 times I used Disk Cleanup. I'm baffled.
