Gianluca

I installed Xpembedded image on a PATA disk (partition C:).
My device has also a SATA disk with four partition ( D:, E:, F:, G:) for
data.

After fbreseal command, partition on PATA disk turn into partition D: and
the first partition on SATA disk turn into C:

I use XPe feature pack 2007.
The motherboard is ASUS M2A-VM

Can anyone help me?

"Note If you have a system with two or more physical drives, the
cloning tools remove the STORAGE\VOLUMES and reinstall them on the next
boot if the cloned drive is not the one that contains the Master Boot
Record (MBR). When this happens, the partition letters for the drives
are reversed."

So, what have I to do to resolve the problem?

Short of making the cloned drive contain the MBR? I don't know... sorry.
It sounds like this behaviour is "as designed".

Hi Gianluca,
I had a similar behavior using two mass devices with the os installed: the
CF with XPE and the HD with a recovery copy.
If the HD contains only data I never had change in drive assigning .
XP wants the Primary master HD be C:
Usually on mixed Pata Sata MBs the Sata channel is set as Primary and the
Pata as Secondary
My suggestion is to do reseal with the SATA HD cable removed and connect it
again after reseal is done.
