Discontinue Windows Mail

All of my yahoo mail is going to Windows and I no longer want this. How do I
discontinue this? I would like to continue to receive email through yahoo
only for the time being.

Remove the account from Windows Mail (Tools | Accounts).

You can go to tools/accounts/options (highlight yahoo account)/select
properties/general tab and uncheck "include this account......" box.
Mail will not download, and you can restore use of the account by
rechecking the box at a later time.

It's not clear what you mean by "yahoo mail is going to Windows."
Can we assume that "through Yahoo" means Yahoo webmail rather
than Yahoo POP mail?

If you don't want to receive POP mail, don't start the Windows Mail
email program.
