disconnecting mapped drives remotely

Can any suggest a way of disconnecting (and reconnecting)
a mapped network drive remotely? I don't want to visit
each of my 200 PCs to disconnect a network drive in order
to upgrade a server app.

I would take notes on the share permissions then stop sharing the folder.
Create a new share with the same name & everyone read-only permissions so
that clients can connect and won't get an unavailable message (and possibly
permanently disconnect the mapped drive).
Do your work, stop sharing the "dummy" share and re-share the original with
the correct permissions.
