Disc Drive

I may be posting this in the wrong forum. I let my sister borrow my laptop to
see if she could load her ipod, since I've had it back the disc drive seems
to have disappeared. When I go to my computer it's not listed there. Would
anyone have an idea as to where it has gone and how I can get it back. It's
quite important.

I believe tweakui also has a feature to make a drive disappear and reappear.
