Disapprearing Favirites

Hi,

I've had this weird problem of disappearing Favorites from IE.
(6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519IC)
I'd create some Favorites as I broqse the internet, and a few days later
some of the Favourites are gone. It happened multiple times, so I'm sure I'm
not just imagining things, and nothing wound up in Recycling Bin as it would
if they were accidentally erased. I do share the PC with my family, but I'm
the only one emptying the Recycling Bin.
How can I prevent this from happenning?
