I'm using Windows XP, home edition. I deleted some .bmp
and .jpg images from the Windows directory that were being
used as desktop backgrounds.
They go into the Recycle bin, as they should, and then I
empty the recycle bin and they appear to be gone. (If I
then use "Find", Windows cannot locate them, which is
correct, since the recycle bin has been emptied.) But the
next time I reboot the computer, the image files
mysteriously REAPPEAR in the windows folder! I've tried
emptying all the temp folders, but the deleted images
still reappear when I reboot. How do i permanently get rid
of these files?
