PLONK.

I'm hooked on Maxthon. I've tried Firefox......not bad, but Maxthon is
loaded
with features and options. Too many hassles with extensions everytime
you
upgrade to a new version of Firefox.

I've been a Firefox user up to 1.07, tried 1.5 and it seems slower. For
the time being I'm using Opera and liking it. I've seen maxthon mentioned
here, wondering about avant, can anyone that has used both tell me which
they prefer?

Thanks, Mark

Maxthon for sure

Maxthon for sure

Still using FF 1.0.7, I don't like to jump in to new software until
it has been out for a long while. Saves me a lot of headaches and
dissapointments.

Maxthon is a good choice when viewing pages made for IE.

Me too. FF 1.5 seems a bit unstable on my system, so I'll wait. One
thing I have tried again is K-meleon 0.9. I had tried it ages ago
(v0.4?) and it seemed pretty bare. It is still a tad bare and the
configs involve editing text files, but so far I am mostly impressed
with the level of configureability and the downright speed of the thing.

I went back to it. FF 1.5 was crashing on me every 5 minutes. Reading the
Mozillazine boards, it seems like others are having similar problems.

No problem here, and Firefox is running for 5 hours already.

FF 1.5 on Windows XP SP2, extensions installed: StumbleUpon, FoxyTunes,
Googlebar, CustomizeGoogle, Orkut Toolbar, ForecastFox. (however,
AdBlock DOES NOT WORK in Firefox 1.5, but this is not a problem as I
block most annoyances like DoubleClick.net in the HOSTS file, and I
don't bother with non-intrusive banners)

I suggest "AdBlock Plus" (v 0.5.10; works fine with Firefox v1.5).

AdBlock Plus is also hosted out at Extension Mirror <http://tinyurl.com/5qmkz>
.. If there isn't anything recent here, check there!

(scroll down a bit until you see "An enhanced version of Adblock 0.5.2.039,
AdBlock Plus 0.5.10 made by mcm_ham can be found here:")

And let's not forget "Filterset.G", found at <http://www.pierceive.com/>.

Adblock also works on my XP sp2, Firefox 1.5 as well.

Did I mention "AdBlock"?

Suggested is cleaning of (your) glasses. In case spectacles not worn, then
Visine® or something similar.

The post was to advise the OP that the new version of AdBlock now
works in FF1.5.
Follow along.

Ah. I was under an impression of AdBlock no-longer being 'promoted'.

Here it doesn't work, it install but doesn't block anything.
Also
happened for a few friends.
