Hi all... Just installed version 1.5 and to my dismay virtually none of
my extensions work. I tried using the nightly build tools to fix the
problem and they did nothing. The extensions I miss most are minimize to
tray and another which I don't know the name of... it allowed me to open
another tab by clicking and dragging a link to a blank area on the page.
Is there a solution to this other than reverting back to 1.07?

thanks

Zap the install.rdf file for each extension to set the maximum Firefox
version allowed up to 1.5 (usually it's 1.0) and reinstall the extension.

The link extension is probably Mouse Gestures.

Thanks Mike.... a little further research solved the problem in the
manner you suggest. It now works fine.

That would be Super Drag and Go. (one of my favorites as well) I used the
method described by John Corliss (unzip & edit) and it worked like a charm.

MinimizeToTray now works, properly, in v1.5?

The extensions I use, have been updated so they can work with Firefox
1.5. (go to Tools -> Extensions and check there).

The "minimizetotray" extension does _not_ work with Firefox v1.5.

Yes... works perfectly.

No, not at *all* (neither "manually" bumping the extension's version, or using
the "Nightly" thing).

What particular version (*exact* file-name, etc.) version were you using?

It's definitely *WORKING* Vrodok. The version is 0.0.1.2005091606+
I believe I got it at the authors website or at
http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/ but I'm not sure because I've been
messing with a bunch of extensions today. BTW I didn't have to change
anything, it worked straight out of the box.

You might try and download this..it should allow you to use many of the
non-compatible extensions until the program is updated.

I thought all you microsoft haters praised how wonderfull and stable FF
is....

Oh but you will say now that extensions is not a product of mozilla
that goes with FF.

Ok but nor so the viruses, spyware and malware go with internet explorer.

Just to set records straight.. I dont use IE, but Avantbrowser that is a new
shell for the IE machine.
