This disappearing taskbar is a recurring problem for me
and one that is very annoying. It seems to come and go in
phases...and I seem to have just entered one of the
phases where it is now happening increasingly again.
Periodically my taskbar just simply completely
disappears. Not just hides but is gone altogether.
Sometimes it takes my desktop with it, sometimes not.
More often than not the desktop reappears but the taskbar
does not until I reboot. Granted it does occur more often
when I have been on the computer for a prolonged period
and memory is running low but sometimes it happens almost
immediately. I have checked taskmanager to see if
explore.exe is still active and it is. I have typed
explore.exe into the Run box and once in awhile that will
bring it back but usually not.
I have searched google for an answer several times with
now success so I am turning to you folks in the hopes
that one or more of you have heard of this phenomena
before and even more hopefully, that someone will know of
a solution the my dilemma that doesn't require a reboot.
