disappearing system tray

The volume and power icons in my system tray disappear
every time i boot up. i have to reclick the "place icon
in system tray" for either one of them and both of htem
then show up. How do i fix this problem?

beyond that, microsoft outlook takes forever to boot up.
i don't have many messages on it, but it still takes a
long time. i defragged my hard drive, thinking that
perhaps files got fragmented. what do it do? this
problem just started happening.

Icons are missing or disappear, reappear: This happens for most Auto-Logon
users.

Methods/workarounds: Log off and Log back on, password protect your account
or disable SSDP and uPNP Services.

For OE: This behavior is common if Messenger has been disabled via OE. To
correct the issue, run this script:
