MS-Word has disappeared from the Start menu after dragging and dropping a shortcut to my desktop. The program is not accessible at all to other users on their Start menu or desktop. Suggestions?
What you need to do is COPY that shortcut off of your desktop and into the
folder called "C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\START MENU\PROGRAMS"
You can also copy it to "C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\DESKTOP" and it
will show up on everybody's desktop. You might end up with 2 copies in this
case: 1 for you, and the 1 you get because you are part of 'ALL USERS'
To copy it, highlight the icon and push CTRL-C on the keyboard. Then
navigate to the destination folder and push CTRL-V. Or click and drag it
from place to place while holding the CTRL key down.
