Disappearing e-mail

When I open an e-mail in outlook and view it all is fine.
Once I go to view the next e-mail the one I just turned
off disappears. It is not in the in box the deleted folder
or anywhere.

Does anyone know whats going on

You have your View set to "Unread Messages". Change it to "Messages"
