Disabling the chimes when mail is received

OK, this is probably a really easy process, but I can't
figure it out! How do I disable the chimes when mail is
received? I think they are annoying and with all the
spam mail we get, totally unnecessary. Thanks for the
help.
 
Hello Pam,

Go to Tools | Options. Take a look on the 'General' tab.
